Cleaning your Beast is easy! To keep your cutting board clean, the USDA recommends washing with hot, soapy water after each use; then rinse with clear water and air dry or pat dry with clean paper towels.
Looking to sanitize your board? HDPE cutting boards can be sanitized with a solution of 1 tablespoon of unscented, liquid chlorine bleach per gallon of water. Flood the surface with the bleach solution and allow it to stand for several minutes. Rinse with clear water and air dry or pat dry with clean paper towels.
Store your Beast protected from direct sunlight if possible. Over time, UV can be damaging to HDPE and can reduce the lifespan of the product.
Please note that the use of electric knives on HDPE will result in deeper knife marks due to the sawing action of the blades. If you must use an electric knife, we recommend using light pressure to keep board marks to a minimum.
