Care for your Beast!

When storing your board, please take steps to ensure your board is either flat or straight up/down.  Plastics will bow, especially when heat is involved.  We want your board to be as flat as possible throughout its life.  Also, store your Beast protected from direct sunlight if possible.  Over time, UV can be damaging to HDPE and can reduce the lifespan of the product.

Cleaning your Beast is easy!   To keep your cutting board clean, the USDA recommends washing with hot, soapy water after each use; then rinse with clear water and air dry or pat dry with clean paper towels.  

Looking to sanitize your board?   HDPE cutting boards can be sanitized with a solution of 1 tablespoon of bleach per gallon of water. Cover the surface with the diluted bleach solution and allow it to stand for several minutes. Rinse with clear water and air dry or pat dry with clean paper towels.

Do not place your board in a warm oven or in the dishwasher.  The heat can warp the material.

We do not recommend using an electric knife on your board.  The teeth will tear up the board surface much faster in our experience.
